About the Open Campus Staff "LION"

What is "LION"?

"LION" is the nickname for the student staff who guide visitors to Osaka Sangyo University 's open campus.
The name was chosen after the university's official mascot, Mirai-kun (modeled after a lion).

Roles of LION members on the day

"LION" students wearing pink polo shirts will welcome you with a bright and cheerful attitude!
In addition to providing campus tours, they are also active in a variety of areas, including introducing faculties and departments and providing advice regarding entrance exams.
In addition, they are also in charge of running the "Bingo Game with Luxury Prizes," which is always a big hit, helping to liven up the open campus.

LION brings you real college life

LION members play an important role in providing prospective students with the "real atmosphere of university life" and "what students really think."

Preparations for the Open Campus

Dress Code

You can wear your everyday clothes! You will be walking around campus a lot, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes such as sneakers.

Heat prevention

Summer is very hot, so don't forget to bring a parasol and drink plenty of water.

What to bring

At the open campus, there will be many pamphlets and materials to hand out, but you will be given a shopping bag at the entrance reception, so you don't have to worry about coming empty-handed.

A consultation corner will be set up where students from each department will talk about their own experiences and the appeal of Osaka Sangyo University!
You can ask them directly about anything that bothers you, such as "What is university like?", "I want to know about seminars and research activities!", and "What made you choose your department?", and get the answers you need in one go.

We also offer a wide range of trial lessons!

There are also plenty of programs that allow you to experience lectures by unique professors that are unique to Osaka Sangyo University.
You can experience the atmosphere of a real university and learn in depth about the fields that interest you!

Staff from Admissions Center will provide a detailed explanation of Osaka Sangyo University 's entrance examination system!
Make sure you understand the key points of the exam method and find the entrance examination system that suits you.

What is Osaka University of Science and Technology?

Osaka Sangyo University is a comprehensive liberal arts and science university with approximately 7,000 students.
The founding spirit of the school is "Be great ordinary people." We aim to nurture talented people who work diligently in their jobs and take joy in contributing to others and society.
In April 2025, three new faculties were established: the Faculty of Information Design, the Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design, and the Faculty of Faculty of Systems Engineering.
Furthermore, in April 2026, three liberal arts faculties, the Faculty of Faculty of International Studies, Faculty of Business Management, and the Faculty Faculty of Economics, will be renovated. Come and spend four fulfilling years at the ever-evolving Osaka Sangyo University!
